Coal Montana spokesperson, Shelby DeMars, issued the following statement in response to Senator Tester's vote to support the Stream Protection Rule that would jeopardize Montana coal jobs: Coal state Democrats Heidi Heitkamp (ND), Joe Manchin (WV), Joe Donnelly (IN), and Clair McCaskill (MI), all concerned about the enormous negative impact of the Rule on their states' economies voted to approve the Congressional Review Act and end the duplicative and restrictive Stream Protection Rule.

Senator Jon Tester voted to support the rule, hanging Montanans who depend on high-wage coal jobs out to dry. He stands out among his colleagues for having maintained loyalty to the Obama regime instead of to the working men and women of our state. This is an insult to the hardworking people of Montana and it will not be forgotten in two years.
