EBURD Elects New Officers

The East Billings Urban Renewal District (EBURD) held its annual meeting on May 11, at which a new slate of officers were approved.
Also, DJ from Sanderson Stewart and Chris Hertz from City Engineering department, each received an award for their contributions to the East Billings Infrastructure project.
Scott Chesarek was re-elected as Vice President to the EBURD by the membership which attended the luncheon meeting at the First Interstate Bank Operations Center.

Coldwell Banker Recognizes Team Achievements

News at Coldwell Banker The Brokers includes an award winner, and the addition of two new sales associates.
Kerry Martinson, Billings, a sales associate with Coldwell Banker The Brokers, has earned membership in the company’s International Diamond Society, a level achieved by only the top 17 percent of all sales associates / representatives worldwide in the Coldwell Banker system of 85,000 agents.

Brian Brown Promoted at First Interstate Branch

Brian Brown has been promoted to President of First Interstate Bank’s Downtown Branch.
A Columbus native, Brown joined First Interstate Bank in 1998 as part of the Management Trainee Program. Since that time, Brown has held a number of positions within the Bank, including Credit Review Officer and Commercial Loan Officer. Most recently, Brown served as Senior Vice President and Banking Group Manager for the Billings market.

Billings - America's Best Town

Billings has been named America’s Best Town 2016 by Outside Magazine, emerging victorious over some 64 other cities nationwide in a social media competition.
Billings went into the contest as a wild card, so to have come out on top is “sort of a Cinderella Story,” said Kelly McCandless of the Billings Chamber of Commerce, who helped organize the voting campaign. Anyone who wanted to could vote once each round in five rounds of voting by the social media of choice. In the second to the last round, Billings edged out Ludington, Michigan by a slim margin. In the last round it came down to a head-to-head against Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Billings won with 73 percent of the vote.

Big Sky State Games Registration Opens

Registration is open for the 31st Annual Big Sky State Games in Billings. Most sports fall on the weekend of July 15-17. This Olympic-style multi-sport festival for amateur athletes of all ages and skill levels draws 10,000 athletes each year. Elite, junior, senior and recreational athletes will compete for coveted medals in 36 sports.
